Cleaning speedo/tach lens and other question.

I would like to clean the back sides of the speedometer and tachometer lenses. Do I have to take apart the main dash and remove the assemblies to get to them or can the lenses be removed from the front somehow?

Also I have the 160 mph speedo and a 7K tach...is this correct for a 327 or has this too been replaced on my frankenvette car?

Sorry, but you'll have to remove the speedo and tach to get to the lenses. They do not come out from the front.

Rats....if I am going to that trouble then I might as well just replace them with new.

Thanks!

Yep. Something to consider.

Something else to consider. The cost of the new gauges. They are steep. You will have to pull the drivers side dash anyway. Took me about three hours to pull, clean and reinstall.

I meant replace the lenses with new...they are not that expensive. ;)
