Base model looking svelt!... loving the front end return to dual side openings like the C4/5 and no more fish mouth like the C6/7.

1. Seems there will be a vent at the front of the hood just aft of the fascia?

2. I think the quarter glass may have an air inlet like the Viper?

3. Rear end looks much lower than the C7 in this shot... the lack of the silly Z51 spoiler is much nicer looking.

Look how rounded the rear / read deck-lid is! Very cool!! IMO the C8 is going to be a HUGE game changer in the sports car world!! What an exciting time for Corvette!!!

It's almost naked!!! Base model looks pretty good. Can't wait for the big boys.

GARYFINN 05-21-2019 01:16 PM

That's your opinion !! The front end looks way to short.

pietro c7 05-21-2019 01:18 PM

Sleek is an understatement ...Car is starting to look stunning.... ,there’s fire under that Camo .
Thanks for sharing.

It's a mid engine... that's the whole point and an advantage that really enhances the driving experience.

jamesampm 05-21-2019 01:21 PM

is that a 7 or 8 foot box on that truck?

AEmedic 05-21-2019 01:26 PM

Nice!

Tonylmiller 05-21-2019 01:28 PM

I like.

If you don't like the proportions of a mid-engine car, why frequent this section? Mid-engine cars have a "cab forward" look and a longer tail.

John T 05-21-2019 01:33 PM

I think it will be gorgeous.

69L79 05-21-2019 01:37 PM

It will be a real "looker".

Ugly as sin. Looks like a McLaren had an illegitimate rape child with a Camaro. Trying WAY TOO HARD to look like anything other than a Corvette. I'm actually dying to see it unwrapped to see what car they copied this time. It was the F12 Berlinetta with the C7. C8 looks like a carbon copy (with very small tweaks) of the MP412C McLaren in the front with the sides and back of the Acura NSX.

There's a lot of shape that's being very skilfully hidden.

Those tailpipes though... just something about them screaming non-traditional powertrain to me. Seem quite small and restrictive.

The outlining of the body brings us closer to the actual shape but it is starting to feel like torture.

pietro c7 05-21-2019 01:47 PM

What’s going on with the rear quarter window?Or lack of quarter window?
It almost looks like an air duct ,on one of the pictures.
Thoughts?

mre1974 05-21-2019 01:48 PM

It's really starting to look like that $169,000 car... lol

But seriously, it's going to be a STUNNING vehicle.

Philr56 05-21-2019 01:50 PM

Did anyone else notice the extended exhaust pipes on this test car?

68RPOL71 05-21-2019 01:50 PM

the proportions are looking better, looking forward to seeing the final product and specs, thanks for posting these!
