trying to decide what to do with this car... the interior...well there is no interior other than seats and it has no papers so I was thinking race car?? Has a semi built 350 so I was thinking weeken warrior race car the front driver side has a small smash I’ve never worked with fiber glass so not sure how nice I will be able to fix it up.
I wouldn’t mind restoring it over a period of time but I wouldn’t wanna do that unless I could get papers for it or from another car and change the vins. Anyone have some advice for me? Thanks

You cannot change the VIN. That's a crime.

Changing the vin has another name. Grand Theft Auto. Part. It. Out.

go to dmv with the vin and check status.
get po to fill out bill of sale.
pay to get a title in your name.

cheaper and easier to pay back fees and title fees, than to be caught with a tampered vin

Thanks for some real advice!
shoot people do it so much here In Hawaii I almost forgot it was illegal. The vin on the car Amy have already been charged, it’s all loose dosnt look like a factory mount but I could be wrong. They guy I bought the car from said he was keeping the papers and the vins for another c3 but never car back for the vins so idk.

Anyway anyone know If i still ca race it quarter mile drags without papers?

Windsheild is cracked side side windows are there but it’s electric motors there are no switches. Can somone tell me which pins to jump power to to see if the motors work?

What would a car like this be worth in its condition my first corvette I havnt a clue.
I traded it for a 85 Benz wagon that was I ruff shape n 300$ think the guy needed a place to live I basically bought it for 300$.

Idk about your state. But get a detailed bill of sale with all the info and vin from seller.
you are basically in possesion of a stolen car lol. why would you even accept those terms?? he has the paperwork and admitted to changing the vins??. it still his car. and the vins are modified. look up the vin
I would just part it out,

every track is different, but youll sign a waiver either way. so even if your car is not registered or insured youll be held liable for any propery damages, and you dont wanna be without a proof of ownership or stolen car ifsomething happens.
Every tech inspection differs usually need to have glass up so the tops dont pop off or arms fly out. theyll record anything for records and since youll have no tags, theyll go by your vin.

Tell seller you will give him a case of beer and a pillow to put in the Benz wagon for the vin tag and title.

Take any VIN numbers you find on the car, the engine number stamped on the block and the number stamped on the trans to your DMV and try to figure out what is to correct VIN for the car.
Get it registered in your name legally.
even without any VIN on the car, there are ways to get a new VIN assigned to the car.
You just need to be willing to do the paperwork, the inspection and deal with DMV.
Even if they find the vehicle was stolen, you wouldn’t be arrested.
Driving it down the road or at the track and not trying to get it in your name legally, would be a complete different story.

YIKES!
First step is to get the paper work as already stated! Don't spend a dime on the car until then. I'd not even work on it, If it reports as stolen you could lose all labor and money spent on the car.

Seller is keeping vin and title. Means THAT one isn't stolen! His next car for sale will be...
