Grand Sport Hashmarks - opinions
 

I acquired a 2011 GS almost a year ago. I immediately planned on adding the GS hashmarks on the front fenders. Ordered a high quality set. But after they arrived, I started second guessing myself . I LOVE the look of a GS with the hashmarks.....but my car is so perfect and unmolested, I haven’t been able to pull the trigger and install them.

i want to hear everyone’s opinion on hashmarks strips on Grand Sports.

BTW....my car is Torch Red and the strips are black.

Put the hash strips on and see if you like them, run them for a couple weeks and then decide. If you want them gone a hair dryer and 5 minutes of your time and they are history.

My 2010 JS Blue stands out with them. It separates the Grand Sport from the others.

I thought the two tape swatches looked silly on my car. Removed them like the clean look. Maybe if I was 17 years old and they were on a tuner Honda or something.

I made sure when I bought my brand new 10' GS that it didn't have the Heritage package, don't care for the stipes.

I have them on my torch red GS. I like them and I think they look great on certain colors. As an FYI, I’m 45 and have never been into the Honda tuner cars.

If you like them, go for it!! They cal always be removed!

No stripes for me

I don't like them, so no stripes for me. If you like them, put them on.

Similar to a number of other topics here, it comes down to personal taste. As already pointed out, you can try them out and remove fairly easily if you don't like. Personally, I think they really make the GS's standout. I wasn't sure how I would like them based on the photo of the car I was looking to buy, but when I saw it in person, I all I could think was 'Wow'. Torch Red with Pearl hash marks.

I kind of like them and if mine had them, I would probably keep them. But haven't thought about adding them for the same reason you are hesitant - I really love it the way it was presented from the factory so I don't want to mess with it. The only thing I want to add is some tint to the windows, but that's more for comfort than anything else.

I guess the hashes were part of a trim package and not standard on a GS such that not having them would be an optional "delete"? I'm waiting on my replica window sticker and build sheet from the corvette museum. If I find out mine had the stripes and the previous owner removed them, I may be more inclined to put them back.

I add red hash marks on my blade silver GS and all comments are positive so far

It's certainly a personal preference... I like the hash marks on my 2012 GS I purchased last Nov.... it has the Heritage Package, so was already installed.

I recently got an artic white GS. I think it needs something to break up the wall of white on the side. I like those silver stripes. Are they factory or an aftermarket? Do you guys apply these yourselves?

jMO... but When you start seeing them on POS cars... time to go with out!

Don't care for them myself but it's your car, do what you like.

I personally love the stripes, you will get a lot of opinions on this topic. It's your car, do with it what you want.
