Stealth C6 Amplifier Location - Under Rear Hatch Mech

After a loot of trial and error, I placed a 5 channel amp underneath the rear hatch mechanism. I had to relocate two latch "relay boxes" (not sure what they are) to behind the hatch panel. A little two sided tape worked wonders relocating the boxes.

I also had to cut one of the tabs (on the right) off the hatch metal frame. The door speakers cross-overs are on each side of the hatch. The plastic bag taped to the am contains fuses/other items for amp.

The amp easily comes out after cutting a quick-tie holding it to the frame.

What type of amp are you using?

Here are main components used:

* Doors: JL Audio C2650 - 2 piece component speakers, woofer down low and tweeter up top
* Rear: and JL Audio C2-525X 5.25" 2-ways
* Center: Deleted single OEM speaker
* Subwoofer: JL Audio Stealthbox Single 10"
* Headunit: Kenwood Excelon DDX9905S
* Amplifier: 5 Channel Hertz HCP - 50W x 4 + 280W x 1
* Sirus XM receiver

as a note, I connected the XM receiver as described by madsonp, that worked like a charm... thanks Pete

This looks like an interesting option. Right now I have my amp in the right rear cubby. It works fine but I'd rather have my cubby fully available. Looks like your amp is 7.5" wide. Mine is 7.7" wide. I am also 1/8" thicker. Assuming that doesn't make things too tight this could work. Thanks for sharing.

UPDATE +30 minutes: And just like that it's done. I have my rear cubby back and this was just an overall better place to put the amp. Like yours the amp can quickly come back out after cutting the zip ties. My amp is the JL Audio JX250/1D driving the sub only. It's just short of 8" long so I didn't even have to bother relocating the boxes you mentioned. It just slipped up behind the latch frame and the bottom rested on the floor carpet. The zip ties are just there for added security. The only down side is that the amp adjustments are now harder to get to, but that tends to be a once and done thing anyway. Thanks for the suggestion. One happy camper here.

Can you expand on that? I can't find the description you mentioned. I didn't bother putting in an XM receiver, but I'm curious whether you used the factory antennae.
