72 LT1 coupe 17k original miles Steel Cities Gray

Appears to be a VERY Nice car on the NCRS website...
When I was looking for nearly a year for a nice LT1... I ran across photos of this car and rumblings it was for sale, but I couldn't find it...

If I were in the market for a LT1 this is one I would be going to see in person.

anyway, here is the AD.

Hard to put a price on this one since it was clear coated and "detailed" after survivor judging.

Still….gotta love that Steel Cities Gray! It's out of my ability to fund but is sure nice to see. Some one will get a beauty!

I didn't realize it had been clear coated...
That would pretty much destroy MY interest.

I guess clearing the car could possibly enlarge the potential market for the car?
Seems if someone wanted a shiny example with beautiful paint they would buy a restored car... and
IMHO If you want an original paint car --- the clear coat would knock it off your radar...

IMO, clearing over paint with flaws only magnifies the flaws. Looks shiny and pretty but any flaws will”pop” also as I see it! Still a nice looking LT-1

This is an interesting car: highly detailed but low option. Should be a blast to weekend drive but if the mileage is true, it hasn’t been driven. Clear coat on the paint hurts it as a NCRS trailer queen but maybe helps it as a show car. I’m with Zedder, a little hard to put a realistic price on it. Nice car though. I’d drive it.

I wish it was a convertible!!!! Nice, a shame though that they could not decide what they wanted a show car or a original! Ike

Diamond, even if not perfect.

How many unrestored, low mileage, LT-1s with Survivor Award are out there......? And for a Survivor the original cosmetics are excellent, reflective of the low miles.
