Great feeling as long as you keep it under your control. Thanks for sharing.

Connman 06-08-2019 06:29 PM

Darwin almost came calling in the 2nd vid...

howdigethere 06-08-2019 06:34 PM

lol. yup
seat was stained after that moment.

VictorBarron 06-09-2019 02:04 PM

Were nannies off?

howdigethere 06-09-2019 02:18 PM

I thought they were, I hit the traction control button twice, but I don’t think it was fully off. I think I was supposed to hold it down for a couple of seconds instead of hitting it twice

madrob2020 06-09-2019 03:33 PM

If in NORMAL mode (not PTM) pushing it twice turns it off then back on. I do believe you are correct, if in normal modes (Sport or Track) you have to hold it down about 6-8 secs. to shut off T/C completely. Typically if you use PTM Sport 1 or 2, I find less intrusion of nannies but still a good bit of help to keep 'em straight. If nannies intrude you will get a cut in power till things are back under control. Normally it can be heard, kinda sounds like JAKE brakes on dump trucks, it'll be a "blat-blat" noise & car will feel like it's miss-firing. JMO

impressive power. This may be a dumb question, but is it stock?

madrob2020 06-09-2019 03:53 PM

Sorry to jump in, but my stock ‘16 from 20 mph (1st gear)will lay about 20 yds of beautiful double tracks of rubber. At 40 mph in 2nd (M7) it will get loose momentarily with a throttle stab to WOT! You gotta be going dead straight when doing these things or it’s one of those O-Crap moments & maybe in the WEEDS if you’re not on your toes.⚠️

Lucky nannies were on, in second vid you would have been in some troubles lol...

Mexico NJ??? if you are going to claim you are doing something illegal in Mexico, make sure you are not traveling under a sign that says Delaware memorial bridge and Rt 70 Marlton cherry hill next exit. Also you may want to blur the license plates.

Yes, lest we be lectured by folks that feel compelled to save everyone from themselves...

On the second vid, there's no way the nannies were left on or he would not have been able to smoke the tires like that. The TC and AH would of kicked in and you would of heard the cylinder deactivation. Stout car nonetheless!

Aerovette 06-12-2019 12:10 AM

That could get stupid really fast.

kenownr 06-12-2019 08:07 AM

In second vid, good thing you didn't stay in it a couple more seconds or you may have been peeking out of the trees and repeating your screen name "howdidigetthere" --

I'll second the comment above-- stout car

Toddiesel 06-12-2019 10:37 AM

Cool vids, but dammit why can't people rotate their phones to landscape when they're recording video?? So annoying. I wish google and apple would put it some software that won't even LET you record video if it's in portrait
