Ok, after surgery on both hands and now possibly looking at a second back surgery, and a bunch of other old guy aches and pains, I'm seriously considering selling my 67'. There is no rust in the birdcage as should be expected from a California car. The original Vin and Trim tags are intact.( green over black) The car was wrecked over 40 years ago and had been sitting till I purchased it two years ago. A perfect undamaged 67’ chassis has been acquired and completely redone with Global West front coil overs and Del-A-Lum bushings. The rear is Global West off set trailing arms with Johnny joints instead of rubber bushings. It has all new brake and fuel lines as well as Borgesen Power Steering conversion.
The body is mostly a shell from the firewall back. I have a pair of GTS 1" wider quarter panels, a new tail lamp panel and all needed bonding strips to install. I have an original 67' BB hood that looks NOS but I know it was installed on a 66' at one point but not painted. I have seats, dash, Gauges, radio, convertible top, grill, and a bunch of other parts, too many to list. All pieces need to be refurbished but are very nice. There are also some new bits like emblems, tail lamps, and other small stuff. There is no front body fiberglass. I have a clean California title in my name / plates. I know there will be questions, so ask away. I was going for a mild restomod style.
I figure the value should be around 25K so that's where I'm starting at. Every thing is negotiable to a point. PM me for contact info. You can also see my other posts for the work performed on this car till then.
Thanks For Any Interest,
Chris

Just an update, just found a box with 4 decent, not bent driver quality, bumpers to add to the pile...also a restored clock and an original restored interior rear view mirror...same price with added parts. all the parts I have go with the car. if I find more I'll add to the listing.
Thanks for all the interest so far...just no buyers that are on the west coast. Maybe I'll trailer it to Carlisle next year if I still have it...lol

TTT still lots of interest over 10K looks, just can’t seem to make a deal work for both parties. May trade for a c2 early c3 (read that as w/chrome bumpers) cruise nite car I can drive now. Let me know what you’ve got if interested.

TTT for a great project car!

MrTrim 02-22-2020 08:02 PM

Well, made it look more like a car today. Installed the body back on the chassis and set the front end in place. Still need to finish removing the old front fiberglass to make it fit better. Was buy myself with a cherry picker for the body drop. A trick I’ve used before is to install some long all thread rods to help keep it inline. Yes still for sale just getting it closer for transport...or not...lol 😎😂😏.

Yeah, I turned the bushing over before I bolted it down...oop’s. It’s been a while.

Bought this from a forum member. Very nice to adjust on the fly to keep everything inline.

Threaded rod sure helps and yes I turned this bushing over too.

Chris, you keep working on it, soon it will be up and running. Best for your sale. IF I was younger, I would take this on. Have what you have, all the pain. It's life. Best for the project, either completing it or sale. Looks like a nice one. Question, BB, or small, I don't remember seeing it, Auto or 4 speed? Best for your health, pain and the 67.

Not much left to tell when I bought it for sure. Best guess is a small block 4spd car. No engine or trans in it now.
