Ugh!

That sucks. Looks like it was just the bumper and maybe front lip that got damaged. You'll be back to 100 percent in no time.

—Last thing—Crap, these things are LOW to the ground!

Jackrabbits are not very big and tend to stay low.

Evidently you're not from west T:cheers:exas. Both the white tail & black tail jack rabbits are very large in comparison to eastern cotton tails. They also tend to sit very erect to see their surroundings, keeping a sharp eye out for coyotes & such. Google is your friend. I grew up in south eastern Texas hunting the cotton tail & swamp rabbits (a derivative of cotton tail). Spent 8 years at Dyess AFB, Tx & hunted jack rabbits A LOT. Very much a nuisance varmint like the prairie dogs which have taken over much of the western range land.

Gives a whole new meaning to "jackrabbit start." Hope it's all cosmetic damage and that it gets repaired quickly and to your satisfaction.

Sorry, it was apparently unclear it was humor.

The comment was in response to "Crap, these things are LOW to the ground!" which presumably was referring to the car/splitter.

Ouch. That sucks

ssmith512 06-10-2019 05:06 PM

You clearly were traveling about the bunny speed limit.

Dang!

Expect a call from PETA. ;)

JanosNFS 06-10-2019 06:02 PM

i found the bumper cover was surprisingly cheap-the grill not so much.

My creature happened in the first hundred miles of what I later discovered would become a 1900mile, two day excursion. Too add insult, the next night returneing with about 200miles from home I had a half semi tire kicked into my lane about 20’ in front of me with nowhere to hide. That thing tore the little plastic air dam off and the front wheel well liner attachment points as well.

I had a great time tearing thru the back country but the cosmetics Sure got buggered up.

Those are nothing. In 2009 a BMW Z4 on the Autobahn hit a deer at 140 mph. When the driver stopped he looked at the front and didn't see too much damage, mostly the grill was blown out. But when he popped the hood he discovered that the entire deer had been jammed into his engine compartment. The pictures are too gross to post here but here is a link to ta story about it. http://www.automotoportal.com/articl...eer-disappears. Look at your own risk! --Bob
