Whats the story?

There are two 1995 ZR-1's with under 1,000 miles listed for sale on Auto Trader. Is there a story behind these cars? Why so few miles? One is actually listed at 180 miles, yet it says the fuel injectors have been replaced. I assume, fuel injectors must have been an issues with the LT-5? Why would they need to be replaced after only 180 miles? Is it good for a car to sit this many years and only be driven a few hundred miles? Anyway, I have been away from the Corvette family since I sold my C5 in 2007, and I am starting to think about getting back in. Ideally I would like to get the C6 ZR1, but I am also considering a C4 ZR1 or a C7 GS. Just very curious to know if there is a story behind these very low millage cars. - Thanks.

I would stay away from really really low mileage cars, especially if your going to drive it....From what I hear it costs thousands to get a real low mileage car road worthy....Plus you figure the initial cost would be high to pick one of these up....

Get one that has been used regularly and has preventive and scheduled maintenance on it....

Modded ones are a plus...Mods really wake this car up but the cost is high compared to modding an LS....

I bought my 91 back in Nov of 14 from gateway classics.....No issues at all when purchased....Spent around $ 11,000 in mods between parts and labor but car is over 500 HP in crank now....

Could never recoup that mod money if I were to sell.....I wouldn't shy away from one that is modded....The LT-5 motor is pretty much bulletproof and can handle big power....

90-92 had the injector issues but many of that year with decent mileage have been swapped out...

Check the ZR-1 registry for sales and car gurus and auto trader....

Yes, there is history / story for each one.
Why not give me a call if you would like to know about any one of them.
Thanks,
Marty

Marty,

I assume you're the seller of one or more of these, how can I contact you? I am looking for something to drive, not to collect so I might be better off with a much cheaper. Just starting to gather information, to make the best decision.

Thanks,
Daniel
