This update doesn’t work on the first units?

No, V4 units ONLY.

What does DSC recommend for ride height for C7 Z06?

They want stock ride height

TRANS DAMM 06-11-2019 07:17 PM

Will this work on the CTS V3?

I got a unit from you and tractive shocks in March of 17. If I buy a 2019 z06 will it all work? Thanks. Herman

I just a did comparison of some basic calibration parameters between the previous and the new files. The first thing I noticed is G Rate max is substantially reduced in the Comfort Parameters settings. Initial shock setting is now 1 across the board whereas it was 100 in Sport and Track before. In Track front shocks are stiffer and rears softer. In the Velocity settings Sport and Track have increased rear rebound control.

I just updated tonight and now rain for the rest of the week here :(

Hopefully some folks can review. I wish they would tell us what has changed.

The title of this thread is less than precise. I just loaded the new calibration file into a V3 model and it works just fine.I know it's there because I read the file back after installation. I don't know about the firmware update since I have a V3 model and that update is only germane to V4 models which were changed from V3 models because V3 would not work on 18 and up models.

I go down a road on the way to the golf course which has the worst grading job ever. Although the paving is O.K it has uos and downs both down the road and side to side. The new calibration file smoothed this out in Tour whereas before I had to put the car in Sport to get by this part of the road.with some control.

As mentioned before there are a lot of parameter changes in the new PDTS file. I have a 2017 Z06 model..

I have a GT350 but I monitor this board since there is essentially no DSC activity on the Mustang boards. Even though they are very different vehicles there is a great deal of similarity in the calibration files. Actually it appears that the Camaro and Corvette use the exact same calbration file. I pretty much duplicated the shock tables and Comfort Box settings from this new Corvette cal and it appears to be a huge step forward. Though I've only driven about 15 miles it seems like the body motions, floating and porpoising, which feel like lack of rebound, are gone. There is also a much greater difference between Tour and Track. I believe that the new Comfort box settings are much more restricted so the car spends more time in active control.

I'll be updating mine this weekend so if you don't hear anything by then I'll report back.

Another big change is the Default Rate in the Comfort box. It is now 1/7/10 in Tour/Sport/Track respectively.

I just installed my new v4 unit last Thursday and the car feels very different from the latest MRC upgrade which mine came with since its a Z06/Z07 M7 2019 December built.

The car hooks up noticeably better from a dead stop in Sport mode and still it feels much smoother than before on the freeway...
I am going to the track this weekend so will let you guys know how it turns out

spinkick 06-14-2019 06:23 PM

Good stuff guys. I will try to get out today and test myself. I like what I'm hearing about the comfort settings.

The Velocity table reduces rear compression by 20% on aggressive acceleration to allow more squat and plant the tires.

Just updated my controller and Sport feels much more like Track used to. Everything feels a bit more stiffened up and less "floaty" (I hate that word to describe it). Overall it feels like an improvement.

Going to head home after coffee and load the new file in mine. Tour used to be too soft and I stiffened it up using G comfort settings change.

Everything feels a little bit tighter I think. Making a backup if your previous PDTS isn't a bad idea either if you haven't already done that just in case.

looking forward to more feedback
