Clear your browser's cache. I'm not seeing the issue.

Did that. Nope. Still no good.

As screen capture shows, I'm not seeing the issue logged in or out

So either your cache didn't clear in your browser (which is possible due to option within browser to not delete favorite/bookmarked sites) or you're using something different. Mobile app? Mobile theme? Desktop theme? Browser?

Please post a screen capture showing the issue after you've confirmed you're able to delete the browser's cache to include CorvetteForum and that it's not protected due to being a favorite/bookmark.

Above are shots logged off and logged in, both after clearing cache.

iPad Air 2
Safari browser
All cookies, history, etc deleted in Safari section of IPad.

Cache/History’s/Cookies are definitely being deleted because I not only have to log back into CF, but all other forums.

This is the only place it is happening and just started tonight.

Clearing cookies (or logging out) is different from cache. Cookies are used to remember your login as well as site preferences. Cache is what would be used to retrieve old and common data for page construction and could possibly be the issue here. So clearing cookies is not going to do anything in this case when the cache is what's used.

You're using an ipad but using the full version from what I'm seeing. I'm using the same settings and not seeing the issue. I browsed around and searched and I've not yet heard from others reporting the issue. Something like this, on a large and active site, would usually get several posts of comments reporting the issue if it were global. Therefore, I still not 100% you're clearing cache. Edit: I suppose it could be a safari specific issue, but not sure at this moment.

I Googled how to clear cache and it just said to go into Safari app and hit clear history button. Is there another way?

i also just went into IPad passwords and accounts and deleted CF from content. Logged back in, and am still getting issue.

I think I am using full version and seem to remember seeing a way to change it, but can’t find it now. On the other hand, I have been using this way for years without issue.

This is the the message I see when hitting clear history and data in Safari

Cache would be data, no?

Please provide some basic information so that we can investigate what might be triggering the issue. Either it's a cache issue from a previous and temporary issue or some other factor that is isolated to specific environments. I have been unable to replicate the issue on my end and I've ruled out it being account-related. So it appears to be device related.

We need to know:

1) Device being used
2) Browser being used
3) Full version, mobile version or mobile app

jh225 06-11-2019 11:21 PM

JT, how do I switch out of the full version so I can tell f that’s where the issue lies?

And that folks, is the problem. Don’t know what mobile version you linked to, but that fixed it.

So there is definitely an issue with the full version, IPad and Safari meshing together all of the sudden.

There is a big difference between the full version and mobile version so this is not surprising. I suppose it may not be a cache issue if you performed the action as seen in your screen capture. Some browsers group cache and cookies together and some don't. But switching from full version to mobile version would load much different data to the point the cache wouldn't be used so there is still a slight chance that is an issue.

I haven't been able to duplicate the issue with the safari on iOS emulator but that may not be exact.
