Looks great !
Can you explain what you did for cut-in ? I see you sprayed the t-tops off the car but did you just spray everything else just how it sits on the car ? The reason I ask is that I was planning to spray the t-tops, hood, and lights fixtures separately, is it better to leave them on the car ? Richard |

Richard what i I will say, though, is the results will probably end up better as he has it set up here - especially on the insides of the sail panels, just outside of the rear window. With pressure at the spray gun and with that window in, it’s like spraying into a tunnel and tough to get paint to lay nicely. If if you hang the tops separately and vertical, might end up with a nicer finish as there won’t be a horizontal surface for trash or overspray to settle on. My vertical surfaces were better than the horizontal for the most part. I also hung and sprayed the headlight shells separately and they came out very nice. His car looks really great - good luck with final paint & post the results! |
So - Lardog - in your garage, right? Can you share what you are using for ventilation to keep the overspray down? I’ve done one car in mine, but want to improve my setup next time around. issues evacuating overspray and it left a rough surface on top of the final coats. Thanks

Counting leaves in my neighbors tree off the hood already cant wait to buff it out |
Outstanding! How long will you wait before you buff it? I hear different paint manufacturers recommend different wait-times.
