hypertech chip

Has anyone installed one of these Hypertech thermo master power chip for an automatic ( I have all ready installed the 160 degree thermostat) in your C4 and did it help?

They are garbage.

Lots of people installed them 20-30 years ago and then when they produced little to no results people stopped using them.

Agreed with the above. Also, I see you are in MA. You may want to rethink that 160 stat. It may run to cool while driving. Sitting still the stat wont do much but while driving on cooler days you may never get to appropriate operating temps.

If you do get one be advised that you will get no performance gains other than lower temps. You should get a custom tune for probably less than the hypertech and have the tuner lower the temperature setting.

car spends time in both florida and mass so rather run a little cold then hot

Lots of people have. The word for them is "SUCKER". The loss of wallet is real while the feeling of power is imaginary. I don't think the thermostat really helps much either. The theory is nice but I haven't seen anyone prove it yet.
