Is anyone using the "OBD2 Fusion" app ?

hey guys,
is anyone using this app? I downloaded it- hoping i would be able to see my alcohol fuel percentage and air fuel ratio- but i'm not getting anything.
I am able to get rpms, engine load etc etc, but all i really need is air fuel and alcohol content.
any help would be appreciated.

If you're using an Android phone you can use the Torque app. There are all kinds of gauges to keep eyes on different aspects of the car (AF ratio and Alcohol Percentage are both options). Check out the video I made here:

EDIT: looks like you might be using an iPhone, I've heard the app called "Car Scanner ELM OBD2" is comparable to the Torque app for Android.

iphone :(

I edited it up above but I've heard the app called "Car Scanner ELM OBD2" is comparable to the Torque app for Android. You may want to check that one out.

Does it give alcohol fuel content and afr?

Jay, just finished watching your video. can you confirm that the ethanol feature actually works please?
thanks

The alcohol % definitely works (as long as you have the E85 sensor installed) and I'm 98% sure the AFR does as well but I'll check to verify in a minute.

hmmm
ive got the sensor installed, and i've been using an aeroforce digital obd2 gauge to get the readout- but it would be much more convient to be able to read it through the app.
i wonder if the fact that im using a carista obd2 module makes a difference... ?

I'm at work so I can't test the AFR fully but just sitting in the car with the ignition on it allows me to add a spot for it, I can't tell if it is going to read anything from the car until it's warmed up so I might be able to tell you later today. The E85 definitely works with the sensor, though. I've seen that one in action on a friends Z06.

No problem. I'll let you know what I find about the AFR.

yes yes yes!!!
got it to work- i created a custom PID from the torque app onto fusion, and its working. this is so cool!

I thought I saw on one of the app reviews that there is some OBD apps that allow info to show on HUD in our cars. Anyone know & a name of app or the plug in that transmits to HUD or DIC? Thanks! Yes, I googled w/o luck.

There's a few out there that will ACT as a hud, but there are none that will use our factory hud.

Excellent! Torque Pro really is a fantastic app. It allows for almost anything to be monitored.

howdigethere 06-13-2019 01:28 PM

Jay- are you able to get actual AFR or just commanded AFR on torque?

I saw both options but commanded was the only one that looked like it was pulling info. The AFR might work after the car is warmed up but unless the Z06 has a dedicated AFR sensor (which I'm not sure if it does or not) I'm going to say it won't work.

ajrothm 06-13-2019 02:27 PM

C7Zs do not have wide band O2 sensors from the factory so.....unless you added one, you won't see AFR.
