My heater hose is closed to my new fuel setup than I want it to be. Can I swap where it is now with the other spot facing horizontally? Or do I need to buy a 90 degree fitting. If so, what would the thread count be?

Pick up a 45 and give it a try. A 90 might cause more issues due to the valve cover (? - can't tell from this photo). It should be a standard 1/2" pipe thread.

Just as an example of what's out there:

Factory intake was about a 45* in most cases I believe.
