NOS Parts Barn Find!
Made an awesome find today! Got all of this NOS stuff plus a used '68 original front bumper for $50! Anyone know what any of this stuff may be worth? Everything has its tag still on it and most still have bag/box. Everything was purchased in '78. All the parts are for a '68 but im curious as to why the outer compartment doors carpet are a different material than the middle one? Also had a set of NOS '68 door handles and NOS rockers for the later year cars with the chrome!

What's all there

Good score

If the rocker panels are really OEM parts, they...alone...are likely worth $500.

Anything in a GM box is going to be a lot better than any Chinese repo we get now a days. Go buy it all and list it here for us!!!
And most 68 stuff could possibly be a one year only part which bumps its price. Somethings are 67/68 |
Back in that era, US auto makers were required to have replacement parts stock available for a lengthy period. I think it was 8 or 10 years....can't remember for sure. I'd wager a pretty good sum of money that a GM P/N for 1968 rocker panel would get you the real deal, back then.

 Congrats!

Do the outside door handles have the inside area painted silver?
Starting in about 75 the door handles/pulls had the inside area painted silver VS originals which are frosted chrome. |

I agree with Rescue Rogers... Nice score, OP Can you post a pic of the front bumper - top & underside view?? I believe a one year only part for '68. Thanks. |
When you were in the barn you must have sat on a lucky horseshoe!
Great score |

After you inventory what you have will any 68 parts be available?
Thank you Marshal |
Are there any parts for the stock security system? There is a guy here on the forum looking for parts for his stock security system...

I would be interested in the '68 front bumper if you decide to sell - as long as it is straight and indeed a '68 bumper.

OK, this thread here in General has moved into gauging interest for sales.
OP, when you are ready to sell, please start a thread in the Parts For Sale section with asking prices. Good luck. |
