I was finally able to get a decent video of the new 2020 C8 Prototype driving in Michigan. Towards the end I was able to get up close views of the interior and engine compartment.
The best part is from about 1:25 to the end.

very nice. Thanks!

Guy cornered the driver...lol. Was like a real showdown...haha.

The poor Corvette seemed scared- he just wanted to get away from these probing creatures.

capevettes 06-13-2019 06:15 AM

Nice. The driver seemed to allow the car to be videoed. As we get closer to the reveal, the drivers will be more amenable to being filmed.

that was bad ass... he had no where to go hahahahahhah great job.

One of the most exciting things about the C8 is that it will be the only mid-engine car on the market with such a throaty, muscular, and deep exhaust sound. It’s going to turn heads at exotic car shows for that reason alone. Once people start putting choppy-sounding cams in their engines, it’s going to get even better.

BigF6B 06-13-2019 09:06 AM

He could have floored it to get away...then you really would have heard that exhaust!...some great video of the car though.....if he was here in Florida I would have been all over that car!!

Dominic Sorresso 06-13-2019 09:36 AM

That pointy front end end is soooo phony.

lamaro88 06-13-2019 09:37 AM

The driver got out the car and cornered the C8 haha. Good video

RapidC84B 06-13-2019 09:52 AM

Man... this thing is going to look amazing. Fixes all my annoyances with the C7 and then some. I LOVE the return to a low hood cowl like the C5. Obviously easy to do and meet the stupid Euro Pedestrian regs with the motor in the rear.

A big cam C8 DCT would be a thing of glory :yesnod:

At this point I think the scoop will look exactly as it is shown and simply covered with the wrap. No padding at all. IMHO I think it will look fine

oregonsharkman 06-13-2019 10:18 AM

Nice! Great job on following and cornering him.

2:53 sounds like a turbo to me

One poster from Michigan (who may or may not ;) work for GM or a supplier) says this render is the closest, but that it's more "hard edged" and muscular, less flowey.

Probably is.... I'd wager the NA LT2 testing is all done and they're working on the Z06 TT cars now. That's what was testing at VIR back in March when one crashed just before we got there for a NASA event. A buddy found a camo-covered piece of the car. Posted up about it awhile back with pictures.

Cornered Mule....LOL! :D
