1990 Radiator in Arizona

I have been doing some work on my car and replaced the radiator with a spectra. It is made it Canada. It looks exactly like and fits exactly like the original. The original wasn't leaking but had to replace my A/c condenser.
So far I am driving around with the air on and the car is running very cool. Today's temperature is only 99 so far.
I will keep this updated. I have to thank the gentleman on here that recommended it.

1990 Corvette radiator in Arizona

I got it on Amazon for $78.00 CU1052.

RWR 06-25-2019 02:25 AM

Today it ran 160 degrees. I left it sitting with a/c on for about 10 minutes. Same temp. The temp around Sun City was about 99 today.

ghoastrider1 06-25-2019 08:46 AM

I hope your oil temp was higher than that.

No, it is the same as the engine.

Oil temp?

Ghostrider1
What should the oil temp run?
When the car ran towards the upper limit with the original radiator the oil temp followed after 20 minutes driving.

I did put this piece back. There is a open space of about 3 or 4 inches under the condenser and radiator. It makes the air go thru and not under the two.

Been driving Her daily in the Arizona heat. Staying at about thermostat temp. I let it sit in the drive for 30 minutes at 105 and stayed the same. I am going to take pictures of the temp gauge during the end of July and August..

ghlkal 07-10-2019 11:47 PM

Glad to see that you got her running cool in that heat!

Driving Her daily in hot Arizona🌞. Temp staying at thermostat temp.
even while sitting in a parking lot running with Mom for 30 minutes👍🏼
I know most Corvette owners don’t approve of this cheap radiator.
There are a lot of Young guys trying to put these c4 back on the road with a tight budget.
The a/c condenser was also spectra and the car is cooling great.
I will report back at the end of summer. Whenever that is here😂

August 14, temps
i drive 10+ miles daily

Dude, I'm in the same exact heat (Vegas), and I'm looking for a solution to keep the temps down. I like the price, but how is it quality-wise, for real? If it works this well, there has to be a reason it's 1/3 the price of the units I've been looking at on Jeg's and Summit.

Does it seem like something that would need annual replacement? If a little rock jumps up and hits it, it's not dead, is it?

RWR 08-17-2019 01:12 PM

I had to replace the a/c condenser. It was a job getting in there. The original radiator was still working but always ran on the hot side.
this one fit perfect and looked like the original. I am very pleased. I drive it daily to the gym which is part freeway and backroads. Was 120 degrees on car this week and temp stayed at thermostat temp. Even sitting at the lights on the back roads. I think I took a picture.
good luck
Bob
