Extended warranty
I recently purchased a 2014 Stingray convertible with 8200 original miles. It still has a factory warranty for another 2 months.
Dors anyone have a recommendation for an extended warranty? My research so far tells me most of them are eager to take your money but not so eager to approve and pay for repairs. Anyone?... Beuller? also....any advice on the Ranger plug in module to eliminate the switch to V-4 ? |
Dennis Fitchner seems like the go to guy for the GMEPP warranty. I wouldn't go for an aftermarket third party

Agree, Dennis Fichtner is probably the best source. See his post in here:

Yes, I have reached out to Dennis as well. I always get bids on anything that expensive. I shopped Dennis’ bid at two local dealerships and neither one could come near the price. One said for him it was a zero profit deal. And the other was annoyed I brought them a low ball bid. So, Dennis it is!

I purchased my GMepp from Macmulkin chevy in Nashua NH when I bot my 2019 GS. I have heard great things about Dennis F as a source for warranties
on the forum. The key is (IMO) never ever purchase a third party warranty. Their goal is not to pay and the could care less about reputational risk. i had a 1986 IROC Camaro z28 back in the day on which I purchased an extended warranty but being a 21 yr old naive kid I did not read the fine print that the warranty was a third party and did not look at the exclusions. ( which were many ). A couple of years into the warranty the warranty company was out of business. I have had multiple GMEPP platinum plans over the years and everyone has paid for themselves or more. I never had an issue of a claim being covered as advertised. I like the $100 deductible per claim which seems to be the best price point for the GMEPP plan for me. With the vette I get 7yr 56k mikes plan since we live in a winter climate and don’t obviously need 100k miles of protection. Good luck:cheers: |
