Clean 1985 Corvette. Adult owned and well maintained. Only 44k miles and in excellent shape for its year. Automatic transmission. Runs great and is a lot of fun to drive. Has the targa top and the original cloth sport seats. The seats do have a little wear on the bolster on the drivers side but so does almost any C4 Corvette out there. Air conditioning has been converted and works but does need a recharge. Billy Boat exhaust so it has a nice tone without being obnoxious. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Car is located about a mile from Labrador Mountain Ski Area in Upstate New York, about 20 miles from Syracuse N.Y. Asking $10,500 O.B.O.

Have you heard of " Covid 19" ?? Your state is overrun with it. Tough place to buy or sell anything. Price point way too high for the year and condition.

What’s the correct price point?

In defense of the OP , Truxton is out there in the boonies, no where near NYC , and not "overrun" except maybe with cows. :seeya

I disagree covid 19 would have nothing to do with when to sell or buy

Dave13077 05-04-2020 01:47 PM

Thanks for the folks who clarified. But I will answer anyway. Yes I have heard of COVID 19. And as others have said my area ( south of Syracuse NY) is not overrun with it. There is a whole state above New York City. Also I do not understand how “ no reasonable offer refused” could be considered way to high.

I disagree that in today's time with Covid 19, selling and buying has a lot to due with everything.
People are selling assets (cars, toys, boats) since they might have lost their job.
Buyers are holding back just to make sure this economy does steady out.

Just my $0.02

I have no idea what that even means.

A lot of ads for cars that have been sitting for a while or are "barn finds" have "ran when parked" in the description.

I think he is trying to say in a sort of ignorant way is that it is a buyers market and many are not buying something like this right now.

But with all things, if it is priced right, it will move. Problem is what is right.

If you can wait, I would, if not and must sell, see what webuyanycar or vroom or carmax will give you for it and price accordingly.

At the end of the day it's still a beautiful example with low miles. It may not sell at the asking price but the seller did say that he would consider offers. I would keep it for sale and wait for the right buyer. You can always try ebay if you are ok with paying a selling fee. Put it on Facebook Marketplace as well. That place reaches a huge audience! Either way, best of luck with the sale!
