PDR video while at dealer getting service...

I took my car to the dealer for some service work, which also required a test drive (dang it). As always I set my Valet mode on so it'd record the time at the dealer. Finally had time to sit and watch the 59 minute video of the service test drive and WOW!!! The tech took it out on the freeway where the limit is 70mph so here we go, oh crap. He drove in the center lane and was getting passed on both sides by everyone. He never reached 70mph, he stayed in the upper 60's and never got into any high RPMs and basically treated my car better than I do. I'm extremely impressed with how they treated my car and have nothing but good things to say. They did the service as requested with not a single issue. Just an example of a good dealership experience and thought I'd share.

That's why I had to mention it. I've had nothing but good experiences at my dealer and can only hope it continues.

Much better treatment than my car got at Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet in Fort Worth! This was in a 70mph zone, from my valet mode PDR:

Good for you. Perhaps a side note to the dealership management applauding his professionalism is in order. Most dealerships only hear the bad. This is major kudos on the dealership as well as the tech who took your car out.

Might want to mention dealer's name, so others know they provide good service/take care of people's cars.

I always let management know how well my mechanic Mark did and I do so in writing/email. It never
hurts to let management know they have chosen employees well.

I always let management know for sure as well as give good reviews. The dealer is Henna Chevrolet in Austin and the Corvette Specialist is Mark Wilson.

Maybe you already have done so, but I would ensure that the service manager and the dealership owner is aware of how impressed you are with their service.

I will send an email to them directly. Thanks for the suggestion. Those guys in the trenches get beat on regularly and deserve kudos when they do well.

Good to know they do good work since I live in Austin too.

I went to the manager of the dealership. He and the service manager apologized a lot and said they handled it with the employee. I was pretty upset, and was sick of them for other reasons and have not been back since.

I go to Classic in Grapevine now, and they have been stellar!

After my engine failure and repair, I went out of my way to call the dealer back a few days later and thank them for the excellent treatment and work.

(you bet it never hurts!)

Mine is there with the drivetrain removed getting some major warranty work. Talking to Mark daily.

Bummer. Hope all works out well for you. Mark's a good guy. Good luck on your repairs. Let me know how it turns out.

Well at least they apologized, which is more than I got when a local dealership ( the one I purchased the car from) couldn't even change a flat tire on my Z06. I now go to Day's chevy in Acworth Ga. So far outstanding service.
