Car will not idle

All we did was the intake gasket etc! We timed it and it ran smooth now it is hard to start and when it does you have to feather the throttle to keep it running or it will stall. I can not find the problem any suggestions? Stock 350 L-82

if you can rev it up and it sounds good you probably have a vacuum leak.

Why did you change the intake gasket? If you changed it due to it leaking then yo have to adjust all your settings. And if the timing is different than it was set to before , you may just need to bring the idle speed up with the throttle idle set screw. Have you checked the idle circuit screws as well?

It will not idle,i will have to adjust idle rpm because i am under 700 rpm. All suggestions welcomed! Thanks

there should be a screw in front of the throttle that limits the low end of the trhottle position, if you turn it in it will raise your idle and you should e good to go if everything else is adjusted properly. They are in slightly different locations depending on carb manufacturers

I found a loose spark plug on no 3 cylinder, i do not know if this could be the problem? Waiting for rain to stop because smoke detectors go off when i start car with garage doors down.

Motor turned over quickly once i t started to warm up motor wanted to stall and ran rough. Reached 200 degrees and when i shut it down (Air cleaner off vacumn line plugged) noticed not one revolution in visconic fan. Any suggestions besides turning dis to increase timing? Did turn high speed accelerator screw clock wise to increase rpm , it did turn over quicker!
