Soler Performance throttle body question
Which ECM learning procedure did you do?? A or B ?
A) OEM ECM reset (TB values only) tool and relearn procedure. Available at the dealership, or OEM approved service centers. No actions need to be taken by user. B) Full ECM reset and learning routine. Consisting of overnight power down of ECM by disconnecting battery for several hours. Followed by other steps. |
Option B for me.

Option B worked fine for me.
*On a side note, I just got the car back from the dealer after the rear differential was replaced and when I started it up the next morning I got a check engine light. I figured that after the battery was reconnected at the dealer service department, all of the throttle learning info was lost. So, I went through the "B" ECM re-learning again. The car is running fine now. |
A for me. Only had to relearn the TB not everything all over again.
|
Option B: it still took the 50 miles segment to finalize the relearn and the car is absolutely smoother, more consistent to drive. Would do it again in a moments notice, Gm should buy this guys technology, it's that good.

Any before & after track results?

Zero problems. 2019 Z. Installed the Soler MTB on the car with less than 500 miles on the odo.

Outstanding  Thanks ! installing mine this evening.
It will be the most satisfying 15 minute install of your life. I promise, the result is transformational. I went from "Seriously!? This is what I have to live with!?" with the stock TB, to "OMG I LOVE THIS CAR!" with the Soler MTB. |

The drag strip would demonstrate real HP gains or not. Throttle response i.e. more air off idle with less throttle opening is one thing but producing more power going from "ZERO TO HERO" on the throttle at the drag strip to the finish line is another. |

What No 'Drag Strip' Results?

Just gives a more connected feeling to the throttle which people like. |
I did the quick step also of idle 3 min cool down 1 minute twice in a row. Then go to 44 mph or greater and let delcerate. Just did it yesterday and drove the car around a few places. Seemed to have much better throttle response. I don’t have to give it much gas as compared to before. When reversing I can let the clutch out with minimal throttle and have the car actually move. Also on slow speed bumps or dips, I always had to put the car in first gear to have be responsive and not stall. I can now be in second or third with feathering the clutch and little gas on those same bumps/dips.
Also so when I ordered mine, I asked Mike if he could do keep the flap in the throttle body plain and non engraved. This way it looks OEM. I think this purchase was highly worth it. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...44a43244a.jpeg |
Thanks to everybody that answered this thread. I installed it yesterday and went with option A .
Thanks again to everybody that took the time to answer  |

^^^ This. I confirmed via dyno. No HP or TQ gain but a clear ‘tip in’ improvement.
So, you are absolutely right. BTW, the tip in improvement is due to power gains at part throttle. Notice when you come right off idle you are using very few HP's in the (10's) if you get a few more HP's there they mean a lot percentage wise. This is what I'd really like to Dyno. |
