Throttle Body return spring replacement

So, my throttle return spring is busted. I can manually move it, but it will not return by itself. I have been looking for a replacement spring or whole throttle body, but cant seem to find anything for the LT5. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for with the spring or the whole thing? Thank you, in advance.

Did you try Jerry's Gasket's? Jerry usually has small parts like that in stock or may have a whole throttle body.

Good suggestion, call Jerrys if you don’t see it on the site. He sometimes has things like this that are not listed. Also call Mark Haibeck, www.zr1specialist.com, he may have it in the shop. Strange, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen one of these break.

Well, I deployed for a year and didn't have a place to store it. My dad offered to let it stay in his back yard under a car cover (as opposed to my idea of a storage unit). We think the car cover had a tear somewhere, which allowed water to get in, which also caused condensation (I really don't know), but when I came home for leave, the engine bay looked like it had been submerged in water. It starts and runs fine, but once you press the accelerator, it stays revving, eventually to redline.

Also, thank you so much for reminding me of Jerry's, I knew there was a site I just couldn't recall. They do have a TB, but I didn't see a spring. I'll call, but even if they dont, at least I found a TB. Thank you, both, very much.

Do yourself a favor and call Marc Haibeck about this before you start down this road. He’s very easy to talk to and will give you a straight opinion about what’s going on with your car. As I said I’ve never heard of the spring going bad. I have heard of the throttle plates binding due to worn out throttle shaft bushings. I suspect that’s what you may be looking at. Marc can rebuild the throttle body to better than new.
Good luck and thank you for your service!

Your better off picking up the phone and calling. He’s old school. Email may or may not get a response. Tell Marc “Hans” told you to call.
Best of luck
