For Sale: A very rare 1993 40th Anniversary Edition Corvette Convertible
This car has been owned by only 2 families its entire life and has just 26,906 original miles. My brother-in-law purchased the car from the original owner when the car had just 14,000 miles in 2014. I purchased the car from him in April of 2016. The car is all-original except for the following items I replaced after I purchased the car.

· I replaced the Opti-spark distributor in May 2016 with a brand new upgraded unit from Petris Enterprises. This new distributor is the upgraded model with a ventilation system to keep the unit from corroding internally. If any of you have owned a 1995 or older C4 corvette you know the poor design on these distributors with no ventilation and the distributors are notorious for corroding on the inside. GM upgraded to a ventilated system in 1995, which solved this problem. This car now has that system installed.

· I removed the original rims and tires in May of 2016 and installed a brand new set of C6 chrome rims with new Continental Extreme Contact DW tires at a cost of $1,600.00 The original rims and tires have just 18,000.00 miles and are in extremely good condition. I decided to remove the original rims and tires when I purchased the car to save them for future NCRS judging, if I ever decided to do this with the car.

The engine compartment is immaculate, clean and all original, minus the upgraded distributor. The interior is all-original and in excellent condition, as is the ruby red convertible top. The paint is also 100% original.

The car comes with every piece of original documentation including the original window sticker, which has been laminated to preserve it. I have all the original paperwork dating back to the original owner, which includes the original Vehicle Purchase Contract from where the car was purchased new and the 40th anniversary package each owner received when they purchased a 40th anniversary edition.

The car was ordered with every available option in 1993 except for 3: removable hardtop, performance axle ratio and ZRI option. See picture of original window sticker for the full list of options.

What makes this 1993 corvette so rare is not that it is just a 40th anniversary edition (6,749 produced coupes & convertibles), but that it also has the rare 6-speed manual transmission (5,330 of all 1993 cars produced). As many of you know, the majority of the 40th anniversary edition cars came with an automatic transmission. With a total of 21,590 1993 corvettes produced and only 2,043 40th anniversary convertibles, Add in that only 5,330 total manual 6 speed cars were produced, you can see just how rare this car is.

The car runs absolutely beautifully and has been maintained in a climate-controlled garage with a car cover on it. The only reason I’m selling this car is I have purchased a new C7 Grand Sport and need to fund that purchase.

I feel $15,000.00 is an extremely fair deal for this beautiful 40th anniversary convertible. If you are interested I highly encourage you to come take a look in person. This is absolutely gorgeous, if I can get my 1992 Z07 sold I'd love to try and make a deal on this beauty!!

Thank you for your kind words. I really think this is the best value on a C4. You won't find a nicer car with all documentation and the condition this car is in for the price I'm asking. I truly would not be selling this car if I hadn't purchased my new Grand Sport.

Hello everyone, Spring is coming coming fast and my 1993 has not been driven since I purchased my 2019 Grand Sport last summer. I need to pay off my 2019 Grand Sport, so I going to lower my price on my classic C4 to $13,000. Let me know if you're interested.
