That's not uncommon that you have to buy a whole set and just not a part of something. For instance, you are building a engine and screw up a cylinder and rod. Guess what, you'll have to buy a set of 8 to replace just that one. Screw up a brake pad during install, you'll have to buy a whole new set of pads. F*** up a drawer in a new cabinet, can you get just the drawer, nope, buy another cabinet. I could go on all day. Why should Ridies be responsible for your "little accident"

One connecting rod, for your viewing pleasure. Very useful if you, say, ruin one by accident.

Eagle is not the only manufacturer selling individual con rods.

It's true that it's much harder to find some things, like brake pads, individually.

But here's one. Of course, it's much less likely that someone wants one brake pad versus someone wants one interior component.

Hopefully your tool box manufacturer allows you to buy replacement drawers.

Not taking sides, but if a company sells a set of something, I think it's fair to be rather upset when they tell you they have no capacity to replace an individual part of that set. Each item in the set is a standalone thing that goes on your car, it's not like they're only manufactured as a set and then someone cuts them into individual components, right?

Not taking sides either but here is another perspective. On an appearance item like seats, it can be difficult to impossible to match color and texture (especially leather). Some customers can't comprehend or won't accept that fact so when they order 1 piece of a set, they will complain and badger the supplier for poor workmanship when they don't match perfectly. Corvette owners are generally VERY picky about the appearance of their cars. Not a headache I would want to deal with. Damned if you don't; damned if you do scenario.

OP - Is Ridies saying you have to buy a passenger and driver's side seat covers or will they sell just the driver's side?
