Another factory xm antenna with jvc headunit thread
 

I have a 2008 couple with factory xm and Bose. Put in a jvc head unit, sxv300v1 tuner with a 10ft extension cable to the stock antenna above the rear left wheel. Unplugged both the yellow and green plugs. The extension cable has same end as the factory antenna. How do I make this work?

I'd appreciate any help, searched and dont understand if the sxv tuner needs to be at the head unit or antenna at the rear wheel. Any special adapters?

After thinking on it, I think I take the yellow connector and take the plastic housing off and plug that into my extension cable that runs to the sxv300v1 tuner. The OEM tuner box is no longer needed. Can anyone confirm?

Do you have a picture or link to the extension cable you have ?

Picture was copied from another thread. Connection should look like this with the antenna extension cable from the new sxv300 tuner being connected to the yellow cable you unplug from the XM module.
