HELP.. ZR1 TB to LT4....won't Fit

Hey guys, I don't know if I ordered the wrong part number but according to the throttle body, it says its a 95mm LT5 (GM 12669871). The adapter plate I bought says its for an LT5 ZR1 to LT1 or LT4. Bought it from Summit part # 551794. But this looks different than the one posted in one of the threads. What is wrong here. Thanks,

Edit: Never mind, saw that it is wrong application. I think I need a 551793 kit. That's what happens when you order by phone and can't clearly see all the notes, lol.

Sorry to hear that man, good thing is Summitt has a pretty good return policy (well at least from my experiences with them)

How in the world are you guys getting these LT5 throttle bodies to fit the C7 Z06? I have a 2016 and I already ordered two diff part numbers with no luck. The one I ordered says it will fit Corvette (part# 793). The bracket hits the idler pulley and when I mount the TB, it's even worse. I saw that Edgyvet sells the same part number with their kits. Does anyone have a pic of both part numbers (tb and adapter) or of one that is mounted??

Try Weapon-X

They show the same adapter I bought. Is it possible I bought the wrong throttle body, I thought all factory LT5 TB's from the ZR1 were the same?

You can also try the Lingenfelter adapter. That’s the one I used.

Okay thanks.

I might have to do that. I think the TB needs to be clocked clockwise to clear the tensioner pulley. On yours, do you have plenty of space between the bottom of the black piece of the TB and the serpentine belt?

Mine hit the idler pulley on the water pump regardless of how it was clocked. ICT adapter. The throttle body itself also hit. I just clearanced it a little....

I have roughly 3/8” clearance.

Try rotating the spacer to check which way gives the most clearance. My setup just cleared, so I decided to give it a little more clearance. I took a file to it after marking the area with a marker.

Here's a pic I took of the TB & spacer installed. I'm pretty sure I went with the 551793 spacer.

Thanks fellas, all your comments helped a great deal. I went ahead and just ordered the Lingenfelter one.

Okay, I installed the Lingenfelter one and it worked. It barely clears the belt, that's my only worry but hopefully it should be okay because the tensioner pulls the belt in a little under full throttle.

The unported ZR1 95mm TB seems to have a nice feel and a good acceleration. I was told to check the A/F ratio because it could change a little by making another 1/2 lb of boost. I was thinking about just running a can of VP Octanium concentrate (that's all I can get today) with 1/2 a tank of 91. What do yall think, has anyone noticed dangerous changes to their tune by running a bigger TB? I was originally tuned with a ported TM.

Thanks,

Thanks,

The “Throttle Area Opening” should be adjusted in HP Tuners. If that’s the only change you’ve made, that won’t be enough to worry about in regards to your A/F ratio in my opinion. Won’t hurt to keep your eye on your O2 values, should be around 0.82 lambda.
