The new sound of Corvette. Presenting the AWE Exhaust Suite for the C7 Corvette, available now [click for pricing]:
The Options: Axleback Exhausts and Racing-use only Performance X-pipes. Options for all tastes, sound preferences, and performance goals. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...0fccae1ea3.png https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...6f6bb59615.png Touring Edition Axleback: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...d456eebf40.png https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...93a01c6ed4.png A straight-through design, the AWE Touring Edition Axleback is a 3” T304L stainless steel configuration featuring AWE’s proprietary, drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®. With aggression on-tap, the Touring Edition provides the ultimate experience for drivers wanting the ability to unleash the fury of the 6.2L while providing drone-free in-cabin acoustics at cruising speeds. Responsive to throttle input, the 180 Technology®-equipped Touring Edition is capable of remaining tame until provoked by the driver. Sound Perfection: 180 Technology® by AWE As exhaust gases exit the Corvette’s 6.2L engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. Call it science, call it magic, or call it 180 Technology® by AWE. More in the tab above. Track Edition Axleback: https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...6ec9ef5d2c.png Raw, rowdy, and lightweight. The AWE Track Edition Axleback is the perfect dose of steel for drivers looking for the loudest of the lot. Retaining the 3” diameter T304L stainless steel construction, the Track Edition Axleback mirrors all of the precision engineering and perfect fitment found in its Touring Edition counterpart, minus the 180 Technology®. Instead, the Track Edition features straight pipe sections to deliver the thunder. AFM Valve Simulators (required for the Corvette Stingray / Z51 Auto / Z51 Manual (2014-2016) / Grand Sport Auto):
Once installed, the AFM valve motors will retain their factory operation, and keep your car’s ECU happy. AWE AFM Valve Simulators come as a set of two, and require the use of the factory valve motor hardware to secure the AFM motor to the AWE Valve Simulator plate. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...a1efb6317e.png https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...a4c1c3b8da.png https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...ffb720db4b.png The AWE Performance X-Pipe is a full 3” T304L stainless steel, bolt-on midsection that omits the secondary catalysts. In place lies a precision-engineered X section that grants the 6.2L a refined muscle tone with a touch of exotic character. Please note: the Performance X-Pipe is for racing use only. Volume Guide: https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...3ee5bd61df.png Tip Options: All tip options include the AWE logo and double-walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.

Important notes: In the case of the Track Edition Exhausts: these are known to get (really) rowdy, and may be too much for some. They’re not for the faint of heart, and for this reason, Track Edition Exhausts cannot be returned based on sound preference. Choose your weapon wisely. What’s in the box? Complete AWE Touring or Track Edition Axleback, quad 4.5” tips in the desired finish (unless its a Performance X-pipe only), and all required installation hardware. We made it easy to convert catbacks from a Track Edition to a Touring Edition, or vice versa if you decide at a later date to turn it up or turn it down. I am local to your shop. Any chance that you have a vehicle at the shop that has one of these configurations on it that I could come hear in person?

Installed my X pipe and got to say I love the sound! I tried to get a video clip but my phone captured it in MP4 so I am at a loss on how to upload the video. Let me tell you that the sound is AWEsome to say the least! Absolutely no drone, nice aggressive sound from the back and just a little bit louder than stock in the cabin under acceleration.
Install was a breeze but definitely recommend using a lift as getting the stock X pipe off can be a bit of a hassle. I would also seriously recommend that anyone doing this also orders a new set of donuts as the stock ones will break pretty easy if you're not careful. Overall this is a great purchase for anyone looking to do a nice sound upgrade to their vette! |
