Does my clutch fork look broken?
To you guys? Or damaged in anyway? I unbolted the slave, and put a borescope in there as best as I could.
Brandon Oh, car is a 96 lt4 https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...e76aa2f245.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...daa2e04548.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...f6afbedaa8.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...85fc8b0418.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...338d2da31d.jpg |
Help? If it's dumb question, sorry. I'm new to this.

It's not a dumb question - I just don't think anyone has ever had a look at these parts from this POV before. From what I can see, I don't think it's broken. It looks okay at the pivot stud end to me, although I really can't see much at the throwout bearing end.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if that is too much play on the fork?
Where I talk about the slave being bent in the video, I meant to say "clutch fork isn't broken". |

No, I think that's pretty normal from what I remember. It has to have a little up/down play or else it would always be putting pressure on the throwout bearing. The side-to-side play is fine, too. I really doubt any shifting roughness will be caused from a problem inside the bell housing. It's more likely to be from a hydraulic system that isn't fully bled and therefore isn't letting the clutch fully disengage, or possibly bad synchros in the gearbox.
