Got an e-mail from a dealer saying they'll have two 2020 C8's to demo

Just got this e-mail from a local dealer:

"Hi John,

Fantastic news! I have an exact date for our 2020 Vette demo day. It's Aug 1st and 2nd 2019. We will be having 2 2020 Vette's on display from GM. We are the only dealer in So Cal to do this! Please let me know if you're going to attend so I can put you down on the list."

Where in So Cal and which dealer? If you can share. I'd like to go.

Invite by Kerbeck

I received an email weeks back for a special event at Kerbeck. It was after the reveal date but I ignored the details...wonder if they will have some of these demo cars?

I received that as well. It also said to bring your camera and its about a week and a half after the reveal. I think it's pretty obvious what is going to be there.

To demo, or to look at behind a rope?

Yeah, I read “demo” as you can drive the car, but something tells me that isn’t happening.

I can hope and dream! Wish Chevy did demo days like my local Triumph and Harley dealers do: just come in and give it a test ride, no pressure, no worry about wasting a salespersons time, and maybe some free hot dogs too!

But I'm fairly certain a totalled C8 or two would put an end to the media train...

The dealer is taking liberty with the use of the word "demo." A far more accurate word would be "viewing".

It would be easier for people to get over there if they did this on the weekend, not weekdays.

Dealers didn't have a choice, GM picked the dates. Dealers were offered the car for either one or two days and they are paying heavily for the privilege. Blows me away that the dealers have to pay to show off a GM car.
