Nice... would be interesting to understand the logic behind who they selected to offer passes to. I assume, even if I were to be considered, I’ve disqualified myself with my openly stating that, no manual = no C8 for me.

Ya I’m sure they really give a shit about your open proclamation.

Nice, enjoy it.

WICKEDFRC 07-10-2019 12:48 AM

Cool beans.

If I received an invitation, I honestly don't know if I would go. I guess it don't mean as much to me as it does to some/many.

Congrats on your invite!!!

Rick Conti’s head just exploded.

His fit about not being invited was classic.

I would be interesting to take a poll of all the people who got passes, and see if any of them owned a Corvette with a manual. I'm thinking perhaps not.

i hope your joking, since I didn’t reveal anything that wasn’t already there.

Greg00Coupe 07-10-2019 05:25 AM

Shortly the cars will be shown other places. No big deal to see it on 7/18.

I plan to go to Carlisle next month.

I’d go to kerbeck but can wait.

I can’t, I’m doing both. Hopefully at least two C8s at Kerbeck and every color at Carlisle. Both events a 100 mile drive for me in opposite directions. Probably do each on the Friday dates.

  1. congrats thanks for sharing.
  2. i can see some die hard loyal Corvette buyers being upset they did not get a ticket to the dance.
  3. i been to a few Porsche, Ferrari and Mclaren reveals and I was surprised how much fun I had at the event. Enjoy should be fun and memorable
  4. GM is one of my customers and under-contract unfortunately I can’t accept tickets.:banghead:

You really think the Gen is scanning social media and Forums to disqualify people :banghead:

You should keep those afterwards, it would be a neat collectible to have. Not saying they'll be worth even a penny in the future, but still a neat item to have that most will toss in the trash once it's over.

Agree. On an immature level I can’t help but feel a little sour grapes over other owners being chosen but I take comfort in it appearing to be completely random. If it was all press/media/social media influencers, I could care less...but it’s not. :toetap:

I’ve owned 9 Corvettes (I know I’m not alone or near the top in that regard), been a rabid Corvette fanboy since I was a teenager (also not alone in this), have a large Corvette racing “Jake” tribal tattoo across my back AND converted a Porsche buyer into a Grand Sport owner! Lol.

We are all fanboys and girls in our own dedicated way. :flag:

I actually credit the Corvette for motivating me through school, college and to later start a small business which I still own 18 years later. The Corvette was always the carrot that my mom reminded me I could have if I studied and worked hard it could one day be mine. So I have that...oh yeah, and a kick a** C7 in my garage that I can to drive to work!

2011 Z06Z07 with a manual is the car that I am bring to the event. Something about a corral for owners, much like IMSA races I assume. The reasons that I was picked was because:
I live close to the event
I responded very quickly.
That is it. Just lucky.
