Running out of injector- 87% DC on E30 6000-6500 rpm
 

Wanted to get some advice.

Am I running out of injector? Did 3 WOT runs with shifts in the 6200-6500 rpm range.
Had datacat log data.

it pegs my injector duty cycle at 87% in the 6200-6500 rpm range. Wideband afr’s show 11.8:1 steady throughout this range.

this 87% DC also also explains why i see max fuel pressure of 46 psi at 10 psi boost during WOT. I basically have the fuel inj programmed to run wide open like faucets above 6000 rpm. I should see 51 psi with stock fuel reg and I do see that if i idle the car and put 10 psi boost onto it (via mityvac).

i have 2 fuel pumps. A walbro 255 l/hr in tank feeding a gsl-392 inline pump.

Anyways what should i do? Run bigger inj ($500 😕)? Run my fuel system at a higher psi (ex.60) via an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator?

are my pumps good enough? Or do need to put in the monster walbro 400 l/hr pump?

i want to run even higher ethanol content fuel for more power. right now im at 30% ethanol. Of course i will need more fuel to do so.

have i left power on the table (by having too small inj) as it currently sits?

any ideas are appreciated

I PM you to call me on this, there are some issues with what you are seeing and it would take to much time to type all of this. Your fuel pressure should not drop, that means you do not have enough fuel volume, running larger injectors will result in the same problem. You need that fuel pressure to hold 53 PSI at 10 lbs of boost. Until this happens all tuning is a waste of time.
