my 62 wonderbar is set to play Ipad music. Plays O.K. but thje volume is very very low. Any one to turn volume up alot. While driving sound can not even be heard.I dont know if putting diff speakers,wil hope. I have 30 year old door speaker now.

What are you using for the media transfer, Cassette adapter or RF Modulator?

If the radio is original you need the correct speaker with the impedance matching transformer for one thing....
I don't know if aftermarket door speakers would have that...
Correct repro dash speakers are available.

If your radio was set up to play from your iPad, then you don’t need the matching transformer. Make sure that you have the volume on the source turned all the way up. Make sure that if you have multiple speakers, that they are wired for 4 ohms

I was surprised to learn recently (at a SACC tech session) that the original speakers were 1 ohm.
It sounds like your radio was modified... for extra inputs at least... but how 'modified' is it?
If the output section is original, it will want a 1 ohm load..
Any mismatch will lower the output level.

Need more info on your setup.

EDIT: Is the radio sound louder? Only the iPad is the problem? Or is everything low?
