It's not...but its beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

As an adult, there are fewer and fewer surprises in life. In general, I've known months in advance what has been under the Christmas tree for years now. As a working adult, if I REALLY want something, I go get it...within reason.

But the C8 reveal, I have to wait for and I'm enjoying the anticipation. I"m not losing any sleep over it, but I can't help but find myself counting the days until next Thursday evening when Santa Tadge will come down the chimney with a shiny new toy to put under the tree. While I have no plans to be an early adopter (this time), I can't help but feel a little giddy with anticipation.

Thank you GM.

Same... I was hip deep in making my C7 a trackday car. I was staring at it in the garage one day after doing a brake job and planning the aero install (I had $5K in aero bits new in boxes) and I realized "I don't want to do this anymore". I knew I'd want the C8 and I'd be stuck with a harder to sell car being "tracked out". I did a complete 180... sold everything not yet installed, put the car back to stockish, sold parts, sold the car 2 weeks ago and put 2 deposits in on the C8. I've never bought a new car of any kind. This will be my 6th Corvette, but first new one ordered to my specs. I plan to do museum delivery as well.

I also ordered a new C7 and took museum delivery as well as attending the Ron Fellows driving school in Nevada. Great experience and I highly recommend it!

I really want the new C8 but realistically I am probably looking at a base model once people start trading them in for the high performance version....

Basically same here. Either way I planned on keeping my c5, but originally was going to get a c7z then decided that I can always get one down the road when the process drop when the c8 is out. I want to order my c8 to spec. Only debate is like you museum delivery or not.

This car will be amazing and sure we will love it. Its fine if others don't, last time I looked we were still a free country. I will have one in my garage someday next year when the hype has calmed down a bit. Congrats to Tadge and the team for bringing the Zora dream to our lives.

Kinda know the basic shape, I am more curious about the interior and the specs.

I did Museum Delivery back in '08 on my Atomic Orange "Narrow Body" C6 Vert. My Dad and I flew down to Nashville (barely getting the all clear to do so, as BG Assembly plant was on strike and my car was on the other side of the line). We took delivery in the museum, prior to the new "nursery" delivery area, then took a day and half driving it home up Route 66. I still consider it one of my top "bucket list" memories.

Less sleep last night than the night before (a three day pattern already). Good thing sleep is overrated. Today is day # 1,621 since we put down our C8 deposit.

But, can we make it another seven more days???

WICKEDFRC 07-11-2019 02:19 PM

What's today's date? The 8th?

Meh. The life of a retiree at an early age. Hahahaha.

I don't even know where to watch the reveal if it is even being streamed.

And the 18th is on a Thursday. That's "Beef Brisket Lunch" Day in Bisbee!! Can't wait for the 18th Hahahaha

Do the Museum Delivery, did it 3 times and will on C8!

It's great experience and for you by time you get home it will be broken in.

Don't know who you getting it from but Tommy Jr at MacMulkin will have a lot of allocations.

They have No other fees (No Doc fee) pay your states taxes when you get home and register the car.

Do you live in Bisbee, Arizona? My Corvette Club has been coming to the Copper Queen Hotel Halloween Party for the past 10 or 11 years. Great fun, cool town.

Big Lebowski 07-18-2019 07:57 AM

Today’s the big day! Slept like a baby last night but couldn’t help but a bit of eager anticipation (aka “giddy”) for this evenings reveal. I’m expecting a pretty straightforward reveal with a lot of talking and delayed gratification up front until they finally get around to driving her out on stage....who’s bright ideas was a 9:30p CST reveal?!...Everyone knows Santa comes down the chimney overnight. :D

w0rM 07-18-2019 08:30 AM

I took the day off tomorrow so I can stay up late tonight for the reveal and to read the ultimate flurry of posts to talking (complaining?) about it.

furious427 07-18-2019 08:32 AM

Yah i'm excited to, I honestly wont own for a few years until the used market starts getting flooded, but im still excited to see what its all about.

RapidC84B 07-18-2019 09:27 AM

Today's the day! Having a revel party tonight. Sat on the sidelines of the C7 and didn't buy one until 2017. This time I'm in.
