I've seen the same type of conversion with a 1962, they look ok but the proportions don't look right in person, but to each his own. Instead of look like a nimble little sports car of it's time it looks cangly where the C5 lines and proportions fit the body shape.

not a fan

:U Purchased a C5

Collectable? I expect it was a rebuilt wreck because I doubt anyone would start with a nice low mileage C5 to make this creation.

Looks like it was done by a company as a "product" and the owner of this car bought one of them. Probably paid a lot for it, too...

I saw one of those kits in person at a show last month. I don't mind it at all when the work is done right.

Yep, those are very well-done conversions, nothing cheap about them, at all. A lady friend had her 2000 C5 converted in 2002 and she still owns it.

Lone Star Musclecars, a few miles from me, has one of the 61-62 conversions, for sale. It's a beautiful car.

Ummm...no thanks.

I'll pass on that one.

I noticed them going for some big bucks too.
Done right they look pretty good.

Not my cup of tea but I have seen a few of these, or like, conversions and I admit to being impressed. The examples I saw seemed very well put together with seeming excellent quality. That is what the car hobby is all about, folks getting out there and trying new ideas out.

I do not think so..

It, and another, are for sale on eBay (even though the supplied link shows it sold). This one is $90,000! The one the OP posted is $52,500

They should have modified the door skins like the C-2 kits. The sides of the car looks too C-5 ish to mix with the C-1 styling in this kit.
On the up side, it's probably an easier conversion than the C-2 kit. A classic wheel design might help.
