After all the guessing...lets get an official count

What will you do?

- Buy a C8 New
- Buy a used C8 (in a few years)
- Buy a C7 (new)
- Buy a used C7 now
- Keep what you have (like it, but not enough)
- Ignore the C8 section all together.

Absolutely no doubt in my mind that I will have one. Once the higher horsepower versions come out there will be C8 garage Queen Z51 models at a discount. That's when I will make my move. I made the mistake of jumping on the C7 bandwagon too late. I have not yet begun to enjoy my 17 Z51. Hindsight 20/20, I should have waited.

I'm OK with the Stingray version. I like to daily drive and I think it will be plenty for me.

Likely go with Z51 and mag ride 2LT. Love drop tops but favoring the coupe at this time.

Have 2 deposits in, sold C7 3 weeks ago, buying a Z51 asap.

Might buy a used C8 in a few years. Still too many unknowns. I've only had my "old" C7 for a year and I don't buy new vehicles. So wait and see... don't want to be a guinea pig, plus I don't have that much disposable income to throw around either.

What color are you getting? And high or low spoiler?

xcaliber501 07-19-2019 11:30 AM

I have no doubt I will be buying one, It just may be a few years down the line when low mileage used examples start getting traded in....maybe for the yet to be announced Z06. :)

prinzSD455 07-19-2019 11:33 AM

I'll buy one. May have to sell the C4 and Trans Am to make room in the garage .

Rapid blue with sky cool grey seats. 1LT Z51. Undecided on wing yet... but high wing looks like the trackday winner for sure. Silver 5-spoke wheels and bright red calipers. Clear roof panel and mag ride.

I would be interested to see what is the difference between the LT packages.
Plus, I am bummed there are no chrome wheel options.

FrankLP 07-19-2019 01:30 PM

Would love to buy a new C8, but the reality is that my funds have competing priorities, and my family's needs comes first.

But the C8 is DEFINITELY on my list!

SingleTrackMinded 07-19-2019 01:35 PM

Need another poll option: Like the C8, but will wait a few years or for upper models.

:iagree:

with its low front clearance, even with memory nose lifting under 24mph ( which is key since thats reallllly slow) can this car be a daily driver? In the NE? I dont think so. Our roads are in such bad shape, and are likely to get worse as the weather gets more funky Im not sure that nose can handle anything but well maintained major highways etc. Side streets even in the wealthiest neighborhoods are a mess, are uneven, have potholes popping up all the time and get flooded easily in the NE these days. I certainly wouldnt take this car out if rain was even hinted at.

other areas who dont have winter it may become more a possibility since they dont have potholes, but rain events are getting more severe all over.

SonikSpeed 07-19-2019 01:45 PM

C8 Z06. I'm in.

Whats the ground clearance? I didn't realize it was lower than a c7.
Where did you read the 24MPH thing?

The car can handle rain. it even have a mode specifically for it. Drive it.

Do you know how to make changes after the fact?

7spd 07-19-2019 01:57 PM

Keeping what I got. Now if we were talking about a C8Z my answer would be TAKE MY MONEY!

Skid Row Joe 07-19-2019 01:58 PM

The C8 without a manual transmission, is a non-starter. That's the bottom line.

bjk81 07-19-2019 01:59 PM

This will be my first Corvette already got blessing from wife. I would like to order one to get one early but I have a bad hip so I would like to sit in one first. I’m selling other toys to buy the Corvette.
