well I want to know where the date is on the mirror please?

ss396t6 08-13-2019 08:55 PM

Bill, I believe it is located low center. However, I am trying to get confirmation from another 1970 owner. All I want is a correct date code side mirror for my ‘70.
DMI was a glass company and then there was AX for Ajax Glass.

HI Scott,

The Dated reproduction mirror with correct date code is excellent.

Kind Regards,

Bill

HI Scott
Buy a repop from Paragon
I did and its pretty good. Just have to give them a date you want.

Send me an email when you get it. I will give some advice on what to do with it.

Very good advice on getting a dated mirror from Paragon. Just buy the dated glass and use silicon to attach to your original chrome mirror base. You can soak the old mirror in gas and it will fall off.
Before you attach the new one, mask off the mirror edge and front and spray the back with (satin) black paint. When you get it, the new mirror will be "semi-transparent" when looking through the front with a flashlight. Spraying it makes it dark like an original.
