Thrilled to get the plates for my 2018 GS. I work for Lockheed Martin and live near Luke AFB, home to the largest portion of the F-35 fleet. And I carry. Should be a nice conversation started in parking lots and at stop lights, at least for those who love liberty.

I was just out in Sun City West visiting the folks. I never tire of the sound of freedom there. Due to the upcoming holidays they were running double training missions out of Luke, so got to hear and see a lot of fighters overhead.

Grand Sport Guy,

Thanks for kicking ass for your country. We sleep peacefully in the greatest country on Earth because of you.

I've had several opportunities to walk the production line, and once on the flight line. These birds are a work of art up close. To maintain stealth, the tolerances on every joint and every surface are crazy tight. I love seeing and hearing them in our Arizona skies.

The Navy version is pretty amazing too. I got to watch a presentation from one of our Navy test pilots that said carrier landings are nearly point-and-click now, compared to previous aircraft. A study during the Vietnam War revealed that carrier landings were the biggest worry for Navy combat pilots, more than actually getting shot at. To click and land on a bobbing, weaving deck is pure avionics magic.

I'd like one with an F-14 Tomcat or an F/A-18 Hornet!

Sounds like someone who knows the thrill of carrier landings.
