I went with Kenwood with no complaints, and cooperated a Sirius receiver and Apple Play and Bluetooth.
Remember do it right the first time. |

My rear camera comes on when I put the car in reverse. The front comes on with a push of a button on the head unit anytime I want except when in reverse.

Part of me wants to go all out: Buy a new phone with wireless AA/ACP compatibility, and then go with the Kenwood.

Do it. You won't regret it.

My concern about the Kenwood is its style. It looks like the buttons and animations glow different colors and are a bit "showy"... Sony looks so clean!

I just installed the Kenwood DMX906S with F/R cams and did their pre-wire service. Plug n play. Can't speak for the other units but VERY happy with the Kenwood.

What did you hook up the power for the front and rear cameras?

Android Auto and Apple Car Play require physical wire connection in most cases. The Kenwood unit allows for wireless AA and ACP, but the phone being used must also be compatible with wireless AA and ACP. That is, both the HU and the phone must be compatible with AA and ACP.

Is it possible to run the USB cable into the center glove box? I'd like to plug my phone in and keep it out of the way when I get in the car.
However... I'd like to keep the 12v plug. How could I do this? Perhaps drill a hole in the trim next to the 12v? |

I went with the Alpine you have listed. Go through Crutchfield and use the pre-wired service. Worth the $25.

That really isn't the case. I barely notice them glowing. The writing (the illuminated part) is very small. |
