Old farts and Long Beach Red
 

I have a 2LT Z51 Coupe in Long Beach Red (LBR) coming down the production line. There have been some Forum postings that suggest LBR only has strong appeal to the older (perhaps, elderly.....) buyer. I'm already aware LBR is among the "least ordered" C8 color for 2020....

I turn 73 later this year, so "guilty as charged", I guess.......

Just curious...... if you have ordered--or intend to--a LBR C8......how old are you?

No stake in the game, but....make sure you get yourself a new pair of New Balance sneakers for delivery date. :lol:

I don’t believe that LBR is for older owners, My LBR built 3/3 should be delivered way before my 80th birthday in August!

I'm only 62 and LBR is my favorite.

Just order black wheels with the LBR and the millennials will wet their board shorts over it!! :D

LBR reminds me of my 74 Monte with the Landau roof and Opera window and my 87 300ZX...:D I'm only 60 but LBR brings me down memory lane... It's like a fine Merlot...:lol:

I ordered LBR and I’m 25

I have been going with LBR for months, until the last minute when I changed to ELB. I was intent on being classy vs.flashy, but just love the ELB color. I am 57.

But what YOU like. Don't worry about what other people think.

As long as you don't put chrome wheels on it, it'll be fine. :)

LBR, Deuce Bronze, and Gray are all geezer colors. Also note, when someone says “classy” they mean geezer, like “Chrome wheels are classy.”

(And I like the gray, but would never order it on a vette.)

Age 68. But driven by younger wife's preference. I was headed towards orange or yellow. Don't think LBR selection is age-related -- rather, older people have more refined tastes!!!!

I'm 70, my last 2 C7s were torch red. my C8 will be LBR , Morello red int, Z51, mag ride ,Grey machined faced trident wheels

On a side note, I don't see any LBR C8s built besides the mules. MY TPW was 3/9 and that got pulled 3 weeks ago. I'm still at 3000 and wondering if there is a problem with the paint.
I remember they discontinued Crystal Red Metallic , in the middle of the year because the couldn't get an ingredient for the paint from Japan because of the Fukushima Daiichi Accident.
Anyone have any information about this delay with LBR?

I’d go for Long Beach Red over Arrest Me Red, Bond Me Out Blue (Rapid), Felony Yellow or I Want My Phone Call Orange that the young zoomies prefer. :yesnod:

My wife and I like the LBR...(BOTH MID 60'S)
She wants to get that color to match
Her 2019 Jeep Overland in that color but called Red Velvet.
It sparkles in the sun like GeorgeVee's last photo !
Trouble is I HATE always washing it, as it looks horrible in the winter with the salty roads here in the NE.
Hate the AY, like Rapid Blue and Sebring Orange but don't think we could live with those colors
