For those looking, I stumbled across this at Bring a trailer. current bid is $3100 and closes in 2-1/2 days. In Oregon or Washington I think.

interesting.... anyone know how reliable is this Bring a Trailer.com site??
Vette looks nice, but worrisome repaint and rusty engine bay and block is painted black, when stock blocks were Chev Blue at that time....

Regarding BAT reliability. While they do police the site to prevent any shill bidding, the transaction is between the seller and the winning bidder. BAT gets a 5% buyers fee and the buyer deals directly with the seller. I haven't read of anybody being cheated, but I know of a few sales that were cancelled because the car wasn't as represented. I would expect the most BAT could do is ban a seller. I am a bidder on the yellow 79 Corvette. It does have a reserve and rubber bumper C3s only make reserve 50% of the time. BAT does allow the seller and high bidder to negotiate if the reserve isn't met.
