Which way do the crush washers go on Delco spark plugs for '86 alum heads?
 

There is a washer that comes with the plug that is larger in diameter on one side. Is there a certain direction it should go? On the old plug, it is the same diameter once the washer gets "crushed". Anyone know?

I dunno, I assumed when they came out of the box that the washer was already on the plug in the right direction. Thats how I installed them.

Mine didn't. They are all loose in the boxes. Oh well, if it were that important I guess they would either put them on or provide instructions. I think I'll put the smaller side against the cylinder head.

That is what I always do, I figure it seats into the plug boss on the head better that way.
