Amplify Orange vs. Sebring Orange PICS!
Amplify on the left. I much prefer it over my 21 Sebring Orange on the right.

Both very nice but neither touches DSM.

Color is one of those things humans most disagree about. I love true oranges, like Sebring, and what Porsche calls "Lava" but I really disliked all the "rusty" ones like DSOM. Depending upon the lighting, Amplify looks too washed out to me.

@CamsC8 thank you for posting these pics. I like both oranges. I have a AO being built this month and was scared that I wouldn’t like it, it just looks like SO was a red based orange and AO is a yellow based color. Both look great and I would be happy with either one. I do like that AO is not metallic.

I got luckily and got a an older C8 in Sebring Orange.

Thanks for the side by side of the oranges. Earlier shots had me thinking the Amplify was brighter and I was a bit envious. The truth is just the opposite and I'm certainly glad my 2020 is the Sebring version. I like bright.

Sebring Orange looks deeper to me and is the one I prefer. However it’s very subjective, I think both look great.

So why did they replace Sebring Orange? Was it not selling enough?

interesting thread. SO by a mile is my choice. AO to me looks "cartoonish". Like it would have been in the movie "Cars". Just not a color I can take seriously.
I have seen both in person, and the SO has that deep orange, metallic content that just burns your eyes in bright sunshine, it is so bright. I have said this before. I saw SO in person 2 days before I had to lock my order selections and I was this close to changing from red mist... i prefer darker tints of all colors (Red mist over torch red, elkhart lake blue over rapid blue, etc). |
