Order/Production/Delivery Status Dates
 

I've been following the various Corvette Order Tracking spreadsheets on this forum, e.g here. They are focused on Order/Production/Delivery Status dates.

I have taken delivery of my C8 but would like to see how it progressed through the system. I asked the General Manager of the dealership when I bought my C8 but he said he didn't know how to access that information.

Is there some procedure I can refer him to or, better yet, another source?

I’m not sure what specific information you are looking for, as it sounds like you bought it used, but all GM dealerships use the VIS (vehicle Identification system). Entering the VIN will give you a build date, and the in-warranty date, as well as a list of options and other information. The parts counter can do that if the sales department won’t. The dealer that ordered the car ought to be able to give you the order date.

And checking the spreadsheets of VIN production on the forum for whatever year the car was built may possibly give you information about progress if the original owner posted it.

I ordered it Nov. 6, 2020 and took delivery May 9, 2022. The spreadsheet I linked to has this kind of information.

I didn't get any of this from the General Manager at the dealer I ordered from except the VIN. The "build sheet" has a date of April 20, 2022.

Moved down to 438 yesterday and then got the e-mail requesting a build today.

I hate to say this my friends. But the strike looks inevitable for 9/14 according to several news outlets. This takes my TPW of 9/18 and throws it in the can.

Stay optimistic,something unforeseen and crazy could happen. Like Biden getting involved. Remember he is supported by union members

Ok folks, here is the latest update of "As the World Turns" or as I prefer to call it, "Who got their Corvette before Me"....LOL since we are progressing towards some of you folks receiving their cars soon, please let me know when you get your Corvette. I will then shade your row of data so that we can easily see each person who has been able to receive their cars. Also due to popular demand, I'm also attaching the PDF file that I create each time to create the photo file for viewing.

You are welcome to all the folks that have sent their thanks along. At this point my PM inbox is nearing 200 messages and I can't respond to everyone. This is fun, but also depressing given my TPW.... I'll get a car eventually....LOL

Does status 4200 guarantee that your vehicle *will ship out* regardless of the strike impact? Or is it a likelihood that I can pay up and my car is still sitting in the BGA holding lot in case BGA is on strike?

Your dealer (any GM dealer) can pull a GM VIS report for you.

Your dealer/salesman can pull up the Order Workbench showing the code/dates. Here is an example of my 21 order.

Current TPW is still 9/25. Probably Thursday this week.
3300 on 9-7
3400 on 9-14

Went 3800 on 9/22 VIN 00721, talked to MacMulkin yesterday and they said the invoicing is a little behind. I expect to see one in a short while, yippee

Update - 1186 was built on 9-25 and window sticker on line the next day

Just got an update on mine. Not on the list but I ordered Hardtop C8/Cacti Green/Z51/LT2 from CWW went to 3000 on 8/25/23. Had not heard anything new until I called today Corvette Concierge10/5/23. Said I'm at 3400 and scheduled for TPW week of 10/2/23 but no more specifics. Just want to add any updates to the group. Thanks for everyone's info and updates. Update 10/7/23 got email my car was built 2111 and waiting on invoice.

Jersey, the window sticker ap is behind. They are just showing a bunch of ZO6's BUT... I went in and my sticker is there. Yours isn't yet but should be any time now.

Congrats again! I thought the last VIN produced yesterday was 2101. Mine is 2106; Assuming it is built today, do you think the window sticker app can start cranking VINs near real time?
