Awsome!! I wonder what the service history looks like. Just my uneducated opinion, I think 58k may be a little high for the mileage and the possibility of it needing brakes but if it's a clean maintained car and the brakes have some life left in them offer 55k,

Way overpriced.

This thing is all over social media. Everyone is raving about it because of the color which we all know is rare and beautiful. Never mind the miles. 🙄

It's always nice to see a ZR1 with some miles on it. What's the deal with that Syclone behind the ZR1? Is it for sale too?

No issues with the miles. I would offer low 50s. |
And people think mine is high mileage. Price really depends on how the car has been taken care of. Mine literally looks brand new inside and out, and runs perfectly. The big issue I'd worry about at 155K miles would be the brakes, but rotors are $1,400ea and pads are another $1,000 (for all 4 corners). With that many miles on it, you should be able to convince the seller to pull the rotors and have them weighed to check them and check pad thickness (or pay him to have it inspected by a shop and have the shop do it). Other things to think about with that mileage are suspension bushings and hoses, but honestly modern (i.e. C6) bushings/hoses hold up a lot better than even parts from even a few years earlier. If I were to list mine, I'd probably ask $80-$85K for it, but then it's an even rarer color and I honestly have no interest in selling. With the miles on that one, $58K doesn't seem like a crazy ask in today's crazy used car market.

I think it's a good deal, especially with C5 Z06s going for 20k+ with higher mileage, and 30k+ for lower mileage. For one thing, you don't get 160k on it in 9 years by driving around town to the local Wally! Most have to be highway miles. I'll wager the brakes are good. Even if they need replacing, this must've been a 6 figure car 9 years ago. So, throwing a couple three hundred bucks at a car like this? If you can afford a 60k car, brakes shouldn't be an issue. My .02:thumbs:

You should familiarize yourself with CCB’s, and their cost to replace...

I’m just wondering wheres the front splitter. With those miles I’m sure it’s gone through a few. Still love the color though.

Yes, its very high on the odometer relative to other c6 zr1's, but mileage isn't created equal. Service is key. I would imagine a 2 owner would be well taken care of. I'd rather see this than a 100k miler with 6 owners.

Second owner only owned it since 153k also

I’ve got an inferno orange car with 121k on it.
The rotors are still fine from an east life of highway driving from the previous original owner. the speakers all rattle so those will have to be changed at some point. The wheel hubs on the front were in terrible condition so I changed those as well. The mag ride shocks had been replaced at 75k miles due to leaking. soon I’ll be pulling the trans and torque tune this rear to go through each. had to replace the clutch and slave and pulled the blower off and serviced it as well. engine still looked great on mine and had to replace the splitter. I replaced the front glass because it was pretty bad from pitting from time on the road. luckily I did not have to pay anywhere near 58k for mine. |
What clutch did you install? McLeod is backordered all over the country.
