Repairable ls7 bare block $500
 

I have an ls7 block that spun a bearing, it needs to be repaired. I’ve contacted an engine shop about it and apparently it is doable and would cost around 1500, I was originally going to do this myself but decided that I’m not going to put an ls7 back into it so the block has to go. Posting here in case I can find somebody local to avoid shipping.

Im up in oregon. What "repair" is needed? does it just need a new sleeve or is the block itself damaged?

usually a spun bearing isnt too horrible.

The shop here said that they would have to line hone it and the bill was going to be around 1.2k total

Where in cali are you located at? Do you have any pictures of the damage?
