Convertible spoiler options
Hey all,
Picked up my 23 c8 convertible yesterday. Having some trouble finding a straight answer on which spoilers work, and which dont for the vert. The high wing spoiler is my favorite (part 850010666). Its confusing because when I google that part, convertible is NOT listed, but according to Chevy parts department catalog it will work. The parts manager even admitted that he's not 100% sure, because he's heard in the past they dont work with convertibles. If that one doesnt work, what are my options for a convertible? |
Not sure, but I do know the "hump" over the engine bay negates a bit of the view out of your rearview mirror. (Not to mention what the nacelles negate) A high-wing will obscure even more. Just something to think about.

High wing works with HTC without issue. It does not interfere with open/close function but just makes it more difficult if trying to put something in the trunk.

Thanks, does the wing make contact with the body when opening it?

Different Strokes
I'm not in the market, but were I? I'd check out the Sigala High Wing. It is cloned from the C8 ZO6 spoiler. And has just two mounting points. I think it is a little more stylish. IMHO
|
Correct, only the panel with the nacelles in front of the trunk opens to nearly the full vertical position during top folding and unfolding, but the high wing is far behind that. It's not even close to making contact.
The trunk lid is the same on both coupe and HTC. |
All three spoilers that Chevy offers work on the HTC. I opted for the low spoiler for my 2023 HTC build.

Visibility isnt too bad. Worst case it has the rearview mirror/camera.

When I drove the HTC with high wing spoiler for a weekend I found the high wing obstructed too much visibility when driving with the roof down. Especially at night. Since I usually drive with the roof down as I have other cars if I want roof up driving, I thought this was not an acceptable trade off.
For this reason I opted for the Z51 package spoiler on the car I ordered. I don’t know if the design of the Z06 style spoiler solved this due to a lower center section. |

You might consider the low profile spoiler for Non-Z51 C8s (part # 19432036). I have one on my HTC.
It's attached with 3M automotive tape and polyurethane adhesive so there's no removing the rear bumper or drilling holes. It's low profile so it doesn't interfere with access to the trunk or impede your view out the rear window. It comes painted in carbon flash so it matches the rest of the accents if you haven't had them painted body color. I've had the spoiler on for over a year without any issues. It isn't coming off without some significant effort. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...f460b80574.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...67ec89adef.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...c274fcdb85.jpg |

Hawk 02 that is a sweet spoiler. I'm not a fan of most of the spoilers available, but yours is not overdone and compliments the car.
The shape of the stick on spoiler for non-Z51 cars that I have resembles the standard spoiler that comes on the Z06. It's just smaller. |
C7 Carbon spoiler in Carbon Flash. It does not reduce rear visibility at all, and I can't see it from the rearview mirror in neither digital nor analog modes.

Any spoiler that will mount to the rear valance of coupe will also fit an HTC. The only wings I've seen that wouldn't are a couple of huge monsters that mount to the coupe's hatch.
