Finally made the 10 second club
Went to Bradenton Motorsport test and tune last night and finally hit that elusive 10 second time best of 10.84. The DA was 900 and temp was 70 degrees. Also hit a 1.55 60 ft time. Only mods are lightly ported intake and throttle body, Halltech air box and drag pack wheels and tires.

Well done. The drag packs make all the difference along with great track prep. On my crap surface and ps4s I end up with 1.8x 60 foots.

I was there with NonZ51Mark being a cheerleader. Also with my bolt-ons....ported intake manifold, ported throttle body and attack blue filter was a improvement by far. The weather really wasn't that favorable but okay. I went 11.29@120.3. Last time out in much cooler weather conditions I only could pull 11.38. So having said that, the mods did work essentially at the bottom end where I could feel it pulling. There were other C8s at the track but i don't think they matched my time. I have to check Lue YouTube. Yeah NonZ51Mark car is a beast even with headers. I am now looking at the Halltech Intake. |

What track do run at? I just pulled a 1.68 with my all season Michelle last night. I really like the ps4s.....the guys are 1.63 and 4s. Obviously you were spinning, right.

You mean without headers. I messaged ARH today and can get headers for $1632. I really don't want headers but that's hard to pass up.

Used to be pbir where unless I did a track rental the prep was slicker than running dragy on the streets. Sucked. Now Orlando. With 0 da or under tires at 26psi I cant get them hot enough not to spin if prep sucks. Drag pack would be best.

Put car in track mode, hit the traction control button twice to turn off traction devices. With stock tires I would drive around the water box and then back in, with new skinnies up front I just drive through it. Stop just out of water, pull both paddels in, floor it, when it hits redline I release paddles for a short burn out. Stage car, engage launch control and let her rip when the last yellow light comes on.
Like your method, simple and repeatable. |
